What can you expect during your session?
Before Your Session
After selecting a package for your session, we'll pick a date and time to take your pictures. After we confirm a date, I will send you a contract and payment instructions for your retainer fee to secure your session time. All outdoor photo shoots are weather permitting and if your session needs to be rescheduled due to weather, we will find the next best date for your photo shoot.
Before your session, we will discuss your session and any preparation for you and your horse. Please make sure your horse is bathed and clean with hooves polished for your session and please make sure your bridle is clean. Braiding is optional.
During Your Session
The day has arrived and it’s time for your photo shoot! This is where the fun begins. I am a very laid back photographer and I love to have fun so expect fun at your session! My photographic style is candid and in the moment. I try to capture moments as they happen. While I will get some pictures of you looking straight at the camera, I will mainly focus on getting those candid shots.
Please bring a friend and treats with you to your session. Your friend will be my helper behind the camera to help get the ears forward and the treats are great for bribing your horse :) I will bring extra supplies with me in my bag of tricks, but a friend and treats are all that I'll need you to bring with you.
After Your Session
After we wrap up your session, I will take all your photos home and sort through the photos from the day. I'll narrow down your images to the best ones and will upload them to your online gallery for you to view. For black background images, your photos will be fully retouched and ready for download and printing when you receive your gallery. Please allow a couple weeks for these to be edited. For horse & rider photos, you will receive a gallery of unedited proofs in about a week. You will select your favorite images and I will then edit the ones you choose. They will then be uploaded to your gallery for downloading and printing.
